Instance Segmentation is a Computer Vision task which improves Object Detection in two ways: (1) by labeling each instance of a given object class with a unique ID; (2) by computing a mask for each object inside its bounding box (that is, classifying each pixel inside a bounding box as belonging to the object or not).
